Introduction
Much about Germanus of Man is conjectural and there is considerable confusion with Germanus of Auxerre. He is alleged to have been born in Brittany around 410, lived in Wales in the monastery of Brioc and Illtud, met Patrick in Britain and became bishop of Man around 466.
