Germanus of Auxerre
Introduction
Germanus was sent from Auxerre by the bishops of Gaul to preach against the Pelagian heresy in Britain. He was of Romano - Gaulish background, a student of Roman law, and bishop of Auxerre from 418. He died in 448 in Ravenna. (ODS, 217)
