David of Scotland

Introduction

Youngest son of Malcolm III of Scotland, and Margaret, he became prince of Cumbria in 1107, and king of Scotland in 1127. He reorganized the Church, founding the bishoprics of Dunblane, Caithness, Ross, Brechin and Aberdeen, and establishing numerous churches and monasteries. He lived c1085 - 1153.
