Trollhaena

Introduction

In the thirteenth-century Orkneyinga Saga, Bishop John of Caithness is said to have had his tongue cut out and his eyes blinded with a knife. He called on Trollhaena and was taken 'to the place where the holy Trollhaena rests', and his speech and his sight were cured.
