Báithíne m. Brénaínn of Iona
Introduction
Báithíne was Columb Cille's close relative and immediate successor as abbot of Iona. He is prominent in Adomnán's VC, where he is said to be head of a monastery on Hinba (possibly Jura) and prior on the Hebridean island of Tiree. Ó Riain, Dictionary, 88-9.
