Parish notes
United to Cunningsburgh CBX, Fair Isle FIX and Sandwick SWX in the 16th c., the bishop of Orkney possessed one third of the corn teind of the parsonage, the residual teinds being the vicar’s (PSAS xliv, 305.) There appears to have been no connection between the benefice and the collegiate church of Dunrossness (Thirds of Benefices 2, 48). Cowan 1967, 55.
