However note (a) that this parish used to be called Coultra, and that the parish kirk may then have been in the area of the settlement of Coultra (NO353232); and (b) that the NGR is for the parish kirk at Kirkton, but it may be that during the medieval period the abbey of Balmerino served the parish as its kirk.
