Parish notes
Formerly Kirkcudbright-Innertig or church of St Cuthbert of Innertig now known as Ballantrae - the church was confirmed to Crossraguel by Robert III in 1404, although the initial annexation was possibly soon after the abbey's foundation in the mid-13th c. (Crossrag. Chrs., i nos.4, 22). See Cowan 1967, 120 under Kirkcudbright-Innertig. Not mentioned in Shennan 1892.
