Parish notes
The history of the parish is opaque, particularly in respect of its connection to Dunbarney. By the fifteenth century, however, Pottie was clearly a pendicle of Dunbarney, and by 167/8 it was annexed, with Dunbarney, to the capitular mensa of St Giles Collegiate Church.
