Parish notes
Now known as Dundrennan [but Rerrick on OS], the church was confirmed to the abbey of that name by Pope Clement VI in 1351, the union previously having been effected by the bishop of Galloway (Collectorie 14 fo.162v). Both parsonage and vicarage revenues were annexed and continued to be so at the reformation when the cure was served by a vicar pensioner (APS iv 495; RSS liv, 100v; lxvi, 197). Cowan 1967, 170. Only a small wall with round-headed, splayed window remains of the medieval fabric in what is now a cemetery by Upper Rerrick etc.. A high, exposed site by 90 m. contour.
