As late as 1798 it was still paying for the upkeep of a retired minister (OSA xx, 213). The NGR given is derived from the supposed location of St Ninian's Chapel, Dyke and Moy, as recorded by NMRS. THere is no clear evidence of this chapel, however, and the proximity of the 'croft' to the site of the supposed chapel is merely assumed.
