Notes

The name of this place has probably taken over from an earlier Killichaffie, attested in 1329. The "craig" is almost certainly what is now called the Fell of Craigcaffie, and at some point before the 16th century the topographical name came to take the place of the ecclesiastical. On the site also is the ruins of Craigcaffie Castle.
