Notes
The chapel was founded, apparently, about 1528 by Edward Gray, Rector of Lundy, PER (NMRS). NMRS further notes: 'The site of this chapel has been lately discovered on the north side of South Street ... a style of building resembling those of a church, underneath which were vaulted chambers with foundations of great depth, within which were found immense quantities of human bones which he sold at 6d. a cartload for use as manure.'
