Notes

The existence of this chapel is inferred from the settlement name Killumpha. Macqueen notes (2002, 47-8): 'Cill Ionchadha, 'Imchad's church', preserves the name of the obscure saint Imchad or Iomchadh, .... The local name McClumpha, mac 'ille Ionchadha, 'son of Imchad's lad' denotes that the family's descent is from bond-servants attached to the lands of the church'.
