Notes
The existence of a chapel of this name is inferred from the name of the settlement, Kilquockadale. NMRS records: 'Kilquhockadale (applies to a farm at NX292677): 'valley of Cuaca's church'. Cuaca is a woman's name. If the suffixed -dale is directly derived from the Norse dalr, the commemoration may antedate the Viking period. J MacQueen 1973.' However, it is by no means certain that the name Kilquockadale contains Gaelic 'cill', as implied by MacQueen, nor that the name refers to a saint.
