There is no surface evidnec of the well, which has been piped into a nearby stream (OS 1967, cited by NMRS) We have not yet found any evidence to support the NMRS record of the nearby church's having been dedicated to St Peter, which seems to have been inferred from the presence of this well. It remains a possibility.
