Notes

In 1490 the king confirmed a charter of John, Lord Glamis, granting 'the ground, rock and island commonly called Sanct Nicholas Crag, with donation and advowson of its chaplainry, on the sea-shore beside the town of Dundee' (RMS ii no. 1943). NMRS records the chapel 'said to have been founded by David, Earl of Huntingdon'. No trace survies.
