A chapel was recorded here 'now in ruins' in 1850, when it was 'still known as St Mirren's chapel' (OPS i, 35) OS Name Book recorded in 1859, however: 'There are now no traces of any building, nor does any person in the neighbourhood recollect seeing any. An investigation in 1995 reported at NS 3801 8719 a 'stone revetted platform, Burial Ground' (NMRS).
