Notes

Kirklafinn appears now to be name for the hill. It lies next to Chapel Hill, with which are also associated Chapel Well and a lost structure, called "Chapel". It may be that Kirklafinn is associated with these in some way. OS Name Book recorded a tradition of a Chapel at NS403093, but the site was not precisely known. Also a nearby dwelling called Chapel and a Chapel Well at NS4021 0910 (NMRS, Canmore ID 42598).
