The NGR is for the eopnymous crossroads which is evdiently what Ladycross describes. There was a settlement S of this at NS290108 on the OS 6" 1st edn, but it is no longer there. It is unusual in that the current OS name still seems to describe the crossroads rather than anything else. Ladycross has spawned a cluster of names: Ladycross Wood and at NS289110 Ladycross Well.
