Notes
It is granted by Dufgallus (Dubhghall), brother of the earl of Lennox, to the monks of Paisley (Paisley Reg. 162, 1217 x 1250). As this Dufgallus is rector of the church of (Old) Kilpatrick, we should assume, in the absence of evidence to the contrary, that Sedes Patricii is in the parish of Old Kilpatrick. The charter relating to Sedes Patricii also occurs in a sequence of charters relating to the church, parish and lands of Kilpatrick, reinforcing this inference.
