Close to Alloway Kirk, near the River Doon, recorded as a holy well inn 1883, and dozens of quartz pebbles recovered from it in the 1920s indicating the presence of a cult here, these stones being left as votive offerings (NMRS). It lies close to Alloway Kirk and is now 'in bad repair, the basin silted and with no water flow' (NMRS).
