NMRS records: 'Built in the early nineteenth century, St Leonard's appears on John Wood's 1823 'Town Plan of Kelso' as the 'Relief Manse', the residence of the Relief Church minister. The building lies at the corner of Maxwell Lane and Abbotsford Grove, both streets which grew up in the nineteenth century.'
