The evidence for this well is not strong. NMRS (Canmore ID 45625) records the existence of the chapel of St Laurence and an anonymous source in 1904 stating that a well nearby was St Laurence's Well. The well, whatever its dedication, was recorded as still in use in 1954, relined and fitted with an electric pump.
