Notes
NGR is for OS Little Kilchattan, which is thought to be the original centre of the settlement, beside the suggested site of the eponymous ecclesiastical site. The lands of Kilchattan have been subdivided into two principal parts ('beag' and 'mòr',later 'little' and 'meikle'), and that from the earliest records. For discussion of the very complicated subdivisions of Kilchattan, see Márkus 2012, 212-218. To avoid trying to express this complexity in this database, names of the various subdivisions of this settlement have all been included under the single headname of Kilchattan.
