On OS 6" 1st edn, Kilbride Bennan is the name of an extensive set of fields. Kilbride is now name of one farm at the NGR given (with Kilbride Cottage lying to the north of main road). Fraser 1999 notes from an informant in 1961 that "'Kilbride Bennan' is now never used as such - only Kilbride." (p.83)
