Notes

The NGR given is for Dalmarnock, the house shown on OS 6 inch 1st edn. It lies at the northern end of a large haugh, now an industrial urban landscape, in a sharp bend in the River Clyde, on whose north bank the lands of Dalmarnock lie. On OS Digimap 'Dalmarnock' refers to a wider area of settlement and industrial buildings, and a large sewage plant. The river here is the parish boundary between the parishes of Glasgow (City) to the north and Rutherglen to the south. OS 6 inch 1st edn map names the following features on this haugh: Dalmarnock Colliery, Dalmarnock Dye Works, Dalmarnock House and Dalmarnock Bridge.
