Notes
A pre-historic chambered cairn in a field lying south of the chapel of St Michael's Chapel/Kilmichael, on the lands of the farm of Kilmichael. The name is likely to be associated with the dedication of the chapel, but the monument predates the chapel, and indeed Christianity itself, by many centuries. See NMRS for discussion of the monument and its archaeology. See Márkus 2012, 420 for discussion of the name and associated traditioins.
