Notes
There is a 'Burial Ground' marked at this site on OS 6 inch 1st edn, 100 metres north of the settlement called Ach Cill Bhranain. The name given to this burial ground (not recorded on NMRS) is assumed on the basis of the name of the neighbouring farm. Note, however, that there is another Burial Ground, shown on OS 6 inch and recorded by NMRS (Canmore ID: 39112) at NGR NR746833, 750 metres south-west of the farmhouse, and this may have been the original site of Cill Branain. It contains a medieval stone carved cross, and the remains of a possible well beside the cross.
