Notes
The site is a few metres from the eastern boundary of Rhu parish. NMRS records: At one time the remains of a chapel dedicated to St Michael, with certain monastic buildings, stood near the farm of Kirkmichael. The chapel was in existence about the beginning of the last century. W Battram 1865. The site of the chapel falls near the edge of a pasture field. Some large stones protrude through the turf, but these are probably the remains of a boundary wall, and not part of the chapel. No further information was obtained during field investigation. Visited by OS (RDL) 9 October 1962 Canmore ID: 42511.
