Notes

NGR for OS Digimap Lumphinnans Farm, formerly South Lumphinnans. The name appears in the singular form until the late fifteenth century, when by the addition of Sc -is plural ending we learn that the estate has been divided into its northern and southern parts. Thereafter it regularly appears in plural form, and with its two parts specified as North and South Lumphinnans. The settlement has given its name to a village lying south of the lands of OS Digimap Lumphillans.
