Notes
This cottage is presumably named after the haugh on which it stood, *St Catherine's Haugh. Catherine was the patron saint of the Dominican friary of Cupar, a community which owned land on both sides of the River Eden, one piece lying in the burgh, where St Catherine Street now runs, and St Catherine's Haugh on the other side of the river.
