Notes
The current parish church was originally known as St Lawrence's--attestation go back to at least 15th century. The name seems fitfully current, though not on OS maps; the dedication is certainly well attested, e.g., NSA notes the dedication. NMRS notes that the present eighteenth-century church is on the site of a twelfth-century building, 'one stone of which is still visible'.
