Notes
Note that OS 6 inch 1st edn (1874) places the island of Inishail in Kilchrenan parish. Shennan (1892, 289) states: 'The island of Inishail in Loch Awe was a detached part of the parish of Kilchrenan and Dalavich. By the Order printed at p. 90 it was transferred to the parish of Glenorchy & Inishail.' It is not clear when the island of Inishail got itself detached from the parish of Inishail.
