It is shown on OS 6 inch 1st edn, marked: 'Police Off. & remains of Our Lady's Chapel'. It stood at the east end of the High Street (formerly North Street) at the western end of the timber bridge across the Tay. It was a regular meeting place of the royal exchequer. (Hall 2010, 111-12).
