Notes

This bridge crosses the Brothock Water near the old harbour of Arbroath. At its west end was St Mary's Chapel, after whose saint the bridge is presumably named. The chapel is occasionally named with reference to the bridge - the chapel on the west side of the bridge. Ladybridge Street runs north-east from the bridge to the High Street. From the west end of the bridge, Ladyloan runs south-west along the shore.
