Notes

Shown on OS 6 inch as 'site of St Mary's Cha' at this NGR, on the west bank of the Brothock Water, almost at the mouth of the burn where it is (and clearly was in 1505)crossed by a Bridge [which must be what was called Ladybridge] NMRS states that it was founded before 1455 and served as a chapel of ease for St Vigeans parish. Its remains were obliterated during harbour improvement works in the nineteenth century. See NMRS for fuller details.
