Notes

The NGR is for the remains of the church built in 1855, but the presence of 'massive old buttressed walls' around the burial ground suggest a much earlier foundation (NMRS). Chapelton nearby cannot in any case be named after the church built in 1855, since it is marked as Chapeltown, on the lands of Tulliemet, on James Stobie's map, 'The Counties of Perth and Clackmannan', published in 1783.
