Notes
The site of an ancient well a short distance E of the old burial ground (NM52SW 2). It was open until the early part of the present (19th) century and was supposed to cure diseases etc. Nothing now remains but a slight hollow in the ground. Name Book 1878. Name Book confirmed. Visited by OS (R D) 9 June 1972. The exact position of St Mary's well cannot now be identified. RCAHMS 1980, visited 1971.
