Notes

This well, overlooking the town of Tobermory and close to the old burial ground, gives its name to the town. NMRS states that local tradition places the well at NM5012 5525, a site now overgrown where no well is visible. But a new granite construction was erected at NM5012 5527 to commemorate the coronation of Edward VII in 1902, and bears a plaque which claims that it is 'Tobar Mhoire, St Mary's Well'. Water issues, and a metal cup is provided.
