This is the site of the town of Kincardine which became county town of Kincardineshire in 1531-2. See NMRS for details of the town. The burying ground, visited by OS inn 1971, lay in a field of crop and could not be visited. The dedication to St Catherine of Siena is noted by NMRS, on the basis of two grants of advowson for the neighbouring chapel in 1532 and 1637.
