Notes

The site is covered now by the River Lochy, into which the Spean flows at this point. According to Hugh Macdonald's 'History of the Macdonalds', a seventeenth-century production, 'Kilmanivais' in the Braes of Lochaber was 'a little priory dependent on Ardchattan' (Highland Papers i, 18).
