Notes
It is 55 metres north of the medieval parish kirk of Drumoak (St Mayoca's or St Maik's), but across the boundary in adjacent Peterculter parish. The boundary at this point is formed by a burn. It is also close to the north bank of the River Dee, which here forms the southern boundary of Drumoak and Peterculter parishes, and the northern boundary of Maryculter parish. Speculations as to a dedication to St Moloch (NSA, cited by NMRS) are without foundation. NMRS: 'The well is now enclosed by a low stone wall and covered by a concrete slab. It is the main water supply for the farmhouse at Old Manse.Visited by OS (WDJ), 27 November 1961.'
