Notes
There is much doubt about whether or not this is really a chapel site, and whether or not Trolla/Triduana is commemorated here. The sources used by NMRS for this place-record may shed some light, but probably raise more questions than they answer. Several human skeletons have been exposed near the supposed chapel-site during pipe laying by the North of Scotland Water Authority. All lay extended and supine, and buried with heads to WSW. At least two had stone settings around their heads and upper bodies (NMRS).
