Parish notes
The church of Aed mac Bric (died 589 or 595 AU)? was annexed to Dundrennan Abbey by Pope Clement VI in 1351, the union previously having been effected by the bishop of Galloway (Collectorie 14 fo. 162v). Both parsonage and vicarage revenues appear to have been annexed, and continued to be so at the reformation (APS iv 495). Cowan 1967, 121. The bulk of Kirkdale KXJ q.v. was annexed to the parish in 1636.
