Notes

The parish was created after an investigation in 1649 found it was necessary due to 'the great number and distance of parochiners'. Created out of the landward part of Kirkcaldy parish (KXY) and partly out of eastern Kinghorn parish (KGH), and the union took place in 1650. It was amalgamanted with Kirkcaldy KXT and Dysart DSX to form Kirkcaldy Dysart KDT in 1901. For more details see Taylor with Márkus i, 467-8; 470-1.
