Notes

The name appears on the Canmore website as the name of a burial ground with some interesting carved stones, including 'font' or bullaun stone. It is on the farm of Machuim (NN678402) which is perhaps the origin of the name, in which case Cladh Machuim may not be a hagiotoponyn at all (unless the farm-name Machuim is a shortening of something such as Cill Machuim). Machuim appears Mahuim and Mahuaim of Lawers in 1769 (Survey of Lochtayside, ed. Margaret MacArthur, SHS 1936, 3 and 71).
